_The meaning of 426
The meaning behind the number 426
You might have wondered why we chose the name 426? At first glance, the number may seem like a randomly chosen number, but in the digital realm, it holds a deeper significance. The HTTP status code 426 means something like "Upgrade Required," indicating that an update is necessary to progress.
For us, 426 is more than just a number. Behind this number lies a dedicated team of over 50 specialized professionals with the goal of providing customers with precisely that digital upgrade.
_Our milestones
_How it began
The birth of 426: From problem solving to establishment
Founded in 2016 by developer Daniel Hanspeter and entrepreneur Hannes Vaia, we quickly evolved into a sought-after technical partner, collaborating with companies such as Oberalp, Durst, Mila, and Bauer Media Group (publishers of Cosmopolitan, Happinez, among others). The journey began when Hannes aimed to digitalise processes for his family business. However, transitioning to a digital B2B shop proved to be a significant challenge. For this project, he was recommended to collaborate with Daniel Hanspeter, who was working as a freelance software engineer at that time. Throughout their partnership, they recognized the substantial market potential for such software solutions, leading to the establishment of the company 426.
_Our milestones
From startup to technical partner for international brands
In 2016, our innovative software, YUB, emerged in response to the ever-growing challenges of the digital market. With proud innovation in interface programming, YUB opened new horizons to present groundbreaking solutions to our valued customers. YUB allows our clients to seamlessly interact with various e-commerce channels, offering benefits such as increased transparency, time savings, and, most importantly, revenue generation.
The COVID-19 pandemic drastically accelerated digitalization. In 2020, we realized over 70 online shops in South Tyrol using our HuckePack system. These experiences allowed us to expand our expertise and portfolio further.
In summer 2022, 426 opened a new office in Trento. This move not only underscores our ongoing growth but also our commitment to digital progress. The office in Trento not only provides strategic advantages but also serves as an inspiring space for our dedicated team and innovative ideas.

“Moin” from Hamburg: Our exciting journey with Proclane Commerce
To leverage our potential on the international stage, we took a significant step in 2023: We are proud to announce the acquisition of Proclane Commerce in Hamburg. This strategic decision opens up exciting possibilities to expand and enhance our services. Hamburg, the Pearl of the North, is not only Germany's second-largest city but also a dynamic business hub, providing us access to a broad talent pool and a strategically advantageous location. With over 50 experienced employees across four locations, we can more efficiently support our clients and strengthen our position on the international stage.
"From the very beginning, our goal has been to digitize the entire value chain of e-commerce: on one hand, through the implementation of systems, and on the other hand, through the customization and development of individual software products."
Hannes Vaia | Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
